Internship Responsibilities:



This list represents some of the duties you may be asked to perform.



Update website daily with job orders to attract potential candidates


Add candidates to online database


Perform online searches to keep candidate folders up-to-date


Prepare reference check forms to be sent out to our clients


Create website content based on company strategies


Contact network recruiting affiliates in order to gain more knowledge on job orders and inquire on submitted candidates


Search for possible places of employment to market candidates who have specific locations desired


Compile a list of college contacts to be used as sources for graduate candidates and to schedule job fairs


Attend job fairs from a variety of disciplines


Review resumes sent to USA Staffing Network for prescreening of candidates and rank candidates based on job relevance


Perform searches for candidates based on job order qualifications through online databases and network databases


Create and send job order letter to qualified candidates


Personally contact candidates and prepared submittal information based on qualifications, experience, relocation areas, salary requirements, etc.


Sit in on conference calls and record information for company use


Learn the processes for international recruitment of healthcare workers in order to assist foreign candidates acquiring about US jobs that needed to become US green card/ H-1B visa holders


Consult with international healthcare candidates on possibilities in the US, including state licensure processes, and referred them to an affiliated law group to help with visa applications


Occasionally contact Physical, Occupational therapy, Speech Language Pathology, and other Medical candidates to inquire on their work situation and explain possible job opportunities to them.  This is optional depending on goals of intern






The following description was written by a student who interned with us in the Summer of 2006:



            While interning at USA Staffing Network, Inc., you will have the opportunity to learn the essential functions and duties of a recruiter for a staffing company. The President/ CEO of USA Staffing Network, Inc., Alex Bakker, is the supervisor for the internship. His company is also a member of NPA, National Personnel Associates, a worldwide staffing network comprised of over has over 390 member offices with more than 1,700 individual consultants in 18 countries on 6 continents. Mr. Bakker is the head of MedNet, the group that specializes in staffing for the medical industry of NPA.



USA Staffing Network does not only recruit for jobs in the medical industry. By having a membership in NPA, they are able to obtain job orders from all of the industries represented by its members. These job orders can range from medical to engineering, management, IT, sales, finance, accounting, HR, executive-level positions, etc. This network of recruiters allows the sharing of candidates, job orders and also provides a database online where resumes and information can be stored, viewed and searched by its members.



On top of the day-to-day recruiting functions there are a number of administrative duties to be performed including website administration, database entry, necessary paperwork, calling candidates, etc.
